Veteran Developers from ProbablyMonsters Unite to Form Zunzún, a Studio Dedicated to Crafting Immersive Single-Player Experiences
A group of seasoned developers, including Carlos Sanchez, Jolie Menzel, Kevin Creese, Matt Boehm, and Ryan Kaufman, have joined forces to establish Zunzún, a studio committed to developing narrative-driven, single-player games that resonate with players on a deeper level. Collaborating with talented individuals from across South America, Kaufman, who brings experience from his time at Telltale and LucasArts, aims to create stories that linger, characters that leave a lasting impression, and choices that evoke strong emotions. Kaufman stresses that the team believes in the potential of games to be a powerful form of artistic expression, saying, 'We're convinced that great art has the ability to evoke feelings, and our studio, though small, is driven by a fierce passion and creativity, much like the Zunzún hummingbird that inspires our name.' The studio is currently working on its inaugural project, an ambitious and visually stunning game based on an entirely new intellectual property.
