Microsoft Increases Prices for Xbox Series X and Games to $600

Microsoft has announced a global price increase for Xbox consoles and games, with the Xbox Series X seeing a $100 price rise in the US. First-party game prices will remain unchanged for now, but will increase to $80 from $70 starting from the holiday season. The price changes, which take effect on May 1, 2025, are attributed to "market conditions and rising development costs". The Xbox Series S console will see a price increase of $80 for both the 512GB and 1TB models. In Europe, the standard disc edition of the Xbox Series X will increase by £20/€50 to £499.99/€599.99. The price of the disc-free Series X model will rise to $549.99 from $449.99, and the 2TB model will see a $130 price increase to $729.99. Additionally, controllers and headsets will also see price increases in certain markets.
