Krafton Achieves Highest Quarterly Sales Ever in Q1 2025
Krafton has announced its best quarterly sales performance to date for the first quarter of 2025, driven by the successful expansion of the PUBG intellectual property and the impressive launch of InZOI, alongside the global growth of Battlegrounds Mobile India, resulting in a 41.6% increase in sales from the previous quarter and a 31.3% rise compared to the same period last year. The company's operating profit also saw a significant boost, increasing by 112.2% from the previous quarter and 47.3% year-over-year. InZOI, a life simulation game similar to The Sims, which entered Early Access on March 28, has become Krafton's fastest-selling game, with over a million copies sold in its first week. Notably, 85% of its sales originated from international markets, demonstrating the company's ability to create a successful original IP with global appeal. PUBG, a longstanding leader in the battle royale genre, has shown its enduring popularity by reaching 1.4 million concurrent users in March. Looking ahead, Krafton plans to further enhance the gaming experience through partnerships with prominent artists and brands, the introduction of new maps and game modes, and the expansion of its player base and global presence with the release of new titles based on the PUBG franchise, including Project Black Budget, Project Valor, and PUBG: Bindspot. In 2024, Krafton reported record earnings, with annual revenue increasing by 41.8% to $1.85 billion.
