Canada Sees Delay in Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders

According to Nintendo of Canada, the delay aims to align Canadian pre-orders with those in the US, which are currently under review. The company has stated that it will provide an update at a later time, with the launch date of June 5, 2025, remaining unaffected. The base unit of the Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at CA$629 in Canada. The tariffs, set to take effect on April 9, have introduced uncertainty into the US market due to Nintendo's manufacturing locations in Vietnam and Cambodia, which are subject to these 'retaliatory' tariffs on imported goods. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the Switch 2 have commenced in other regions, such as Europe, and an update will be provided once Nintendo confirms a new pre-order date for the US market.
