Krafton Invests $14 Million in Nautilus Mobile, Expanding Its Presence in India

In a recent development, Krafton has purchased a majority stake in Nautilus Mobile, an Indian gaming studio, for $14 million. The deal, which was finalized last week, gives Krafton control of over 75% of the studio, as reported by TechCrunch. This investment follows Krafton's earlier $5.4 million infusion into Nautilus in 2022. The studio, known for its popular Real Cricket intellectual property, will maintain its autonomy and retain all 45 employees. This acquisition marks Krafton's thirteenth studio, adding to its roster of subsidiary developers that includes Bluehole, PUBG Studios, and Tango Gameworks. According to Nautilus CEO Anuj Mankar, the partnership with Krafton will enable the studio to enhance its development capabilities, facilitating the creation of more games and genres for both Indian and global markets.
