Additionally, approximately 9,000 workers in London are employed in games-related fields or industries that have expanded to include gaming, such as entertainment and animation. This news coincides with the launch of the tenth annual London Games Festival, which will feature over 30 events across the city, catering to tens of thousands of gaming professionals and enthusiasts. According to London Mayor Sadiq Khan, "London has established itself as a global gaming capital and Europe's leading city, with a thriving industry that attracts substantial investment to our country." The Mayor expressed his support for the London Games Festival, stating, "I'm proud to back this event, which showcases the dynamic and growing gaming industry.
