Jagex Names Jon Bellamy as New Chief Executive Officer

Jagex has announced the appointment of Jon Bellamy as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Phil Mansell who has led the company since 2017. Mansell will remain with the organization temporarily to ensure a seamless transition. Bellamy, who has been a member of Jagex's board since 2024, brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Huuuge Games and Jagex. Marc Allera, Jagex chairman, expressed his gratitude to Mansell for his leadership and contributions to the company's growth and transformation over the past 14 years. Allera noted that under Mansell's guidance, Jagex has maintained its focus on delivering exceptional gaming experiences, as evidenced by the record number of Old School RuneScape players in Q4 2024. The company is poised for continued growth and innovation, with the introduction of new content such as the highly anticipated Sailing skill in Old School RuneScape. With Bellamy at the helm, Jagex is confident that it will continue to provide engaging and immersive gaming experiences for its players. The leadership change follows the acquisition of Jagex by CVC Capital Partners and Haveli Investments from Carlyle Group, announced in February, which is expected to further support the company's growth and expansion plans.
