India's Pioneering Game Publishing House Completes Pre-Seed Funding Round

1312 Interactive, a groundbreaking Indian game publishing house specializing in PC and console games, has successfully secured its pre-seed funding round. Founded by experienced gaming industry experts Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, the company aims to identify, support, and publish high-quality indie and AA games for a global audience, with early backing from notable investors including Akshat Rathee, Gautam Virk, Rajat Ojha, Sridhar Muppidi, Tanay Tayal, the founders of Playsimple, Vatsal Chintalpati, and Rick Herman. According to the founders, 'Despite India being home to talented game developers, the country's presence in the global PC and console market has been limited. 1312 Interactive seeks to bridge this gap by introducing Indian games to a global audience while providing local studios with the necessary support to create world-class titles. Additionally, the company is exploring opportunities with game developers in South East Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America.' The company has already lined up three games for release in 2025, including Winds of Arcana, Palm Sugar: A Village Story, and Souls of Bombarika, with plans to release six to eight more titles annually.
