Ville Rauma Steps Down as Fingersoft's COO
Ville Rauma, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Fingersoft, has announced his departure from the Finnish game developer after 11 years of service. In a LinkedIn post, Rauma shared the news without disclosing his reasons for leaving, but expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues and partners. He mentioned that he is currently exploring new opportunities, including potential job openings, startup ventures, or founding his own company. Rauma reflected on his time at Fingersoft, highlighting the company's growth from a single live game and 12 employees to multiple live games, doubled revenue, and a team of 100 professionals. He attributed this success to the collective efforts of the team. Rauma joined Fingersoft in 2014 as a full-stack developer and product owner, later becoming COO in 2016, a role he held for eight years. His career in the gaming industry began in 2007 as a software designer at HappyWise, followed by stints at Tuonela Productions and LudoCraft. Fingersoft had recently undergone restructuring, laying off 14 employees in October due to a decline in ad revenue.
