Epic Games Store Sees $1.09 Billion in PC Game Sales for 2024

Epic Games shared its 2024 Year in Review for the Epic Games Store, revealing a significant milestone of 295 million users on the PC platform, marking a 25 million increase from the previous year. The total consumer spending on the platform reached $1.09 billion, representing a 15% growth from 2023. However, spending on third-party games declined by 18% to $255 million. The launch of the Epic Games Store on Android and iOS in the EU led to a 94 million increase in cross-platform accounts, now totaling 898 million. The daily active user count rose by 6% to 31.5 million, and monthly active users also saw a 6% increase to 67.2 million. A total of 1,100 titles were released on the platform in 2024, slightly down from the 1,300 games launched in 2023. Popular titles included Fortnite, Genshin Impact, and EA Sports FC 24, among others. Epic offered 89 free games valued at $2,229, with 595 million users claiming these titles. The company has extended its Now on Epic program until January 31, 2026, allowing developers to bring their existing games to the platform and receive 100% of net revenue for the first six months. Epic's development roadmap will focus on enhancing its mobile store, including building an improved app library and discover experience to support its growing catalogue.
