Embracer Group Sees 22% Decline in Sales to $1.5 Billion, Remains Optimistic About Q4

Embracer Group has released its financial report for the nine months ending December 31, 2024, revealing a decline in sales across its PC/console and mobile segments. However, the company experienced a net profit during its third quarter following the spin-off of Asmodee. Key highlights include a 22% year-on-year decline in net sales to SEK 16.9 billion ($1.5 billion), with PC/console games down 35% and mobile games down 3%. The company's net loss for the nine months was SEK 1.3 billion ($121 million), compared to a net loss of SEK 1.4 billion ($130 million) in the same period last year. Embracer Group's debt stood at SEK 3.2 billion ($298 million) by the end of 2024. The company is optimistic about its Q4 results, driven by the success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and the upcoming release of Tripwire Interactive's Killing Floor 3. CEO Lars Wingefors expressed confidence in the game's ability to generate substantial revenues over the coming years, citing its exceptional quality and appeal.
