Krafton Achieves Historic Sales and Operating Profit Milestones in 2024

Krafton has announced unprecedented financial results for 2024, with annual revenue surging 41.8% to $1.85 billion. Operating profits also saw a significant increase of 54% year-over-year, reaching $825.7 million, driven by the sustained growth and popularity of the PUBG IP, as well as a 35.7% year-over-year revenue boost from Battlegrounds Mobile India. Net profits for the year skyrocketed by 119% year-over-year. The company's fourth-quarter performance was equally impressive, with sales and operating profits rising by 16% and 31%, respectively, attributed to its strategic lineup, including inZOI, Dark and Darker Mobile, Subnautica 2, and Dinkum Together. According to CEO CH Kim, "As we continue to expand the PUBG IP, we will also accelerate the discovery of a new franchise IP to reinforce our competitive edge in the global gaming market." Kim added, "With AI technology at the forefront of gaming innovation, our goal is to evolve into a company that advances the global entertainment ecosystem." This announcement follows Krafton's strategic acquisition of Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP from Xbox in August.
