Capcom Announces Closure of Resident Evil Multiplayer Game

Capcom has made the decision to discontinue its multiplayer-focused Resident Evil title, Re:Verse. As of March 3, 2025, the game and its associated downloadable content will be delisted from digital storefronts and will no longer be included as part of the Resident Evil Village package. However, players who have already acquired the game through a download code or have redeemed a code prior to this date will still be able to access it until the shutdown on June 29, 2025. After the service concludes, premium pass holders will no longer receive in-game benefits. Capcom expressed its gratitude for the community's support, stating that Re:Verse was developed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series and has successfully fulfilled its intended purpose. The company apologized for any disappointment this news may bring, acknowledging the game's dedicated fan base. Initially released in October 2022 following a lengthy delay, Re:Verse offered a six-player online multiplayer experience.
