Voldex Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Brookhaven from Roblox
Voldex, a leading developer of user-generated content, has successfully acquired Brookhaven, a highly acclaimed life simulation title on the Roblox platform. The acquisition was facilitated by a significant capital investment, with Raine Partners at the helm, and additional contributions from notable investors including Makers Fund, QIA, MIT, Tirtra Ventures, and Lalotte Ventures. Furthermore, Voldex secured debt financing from Shamrock Capital, with participation from Ares Management Credit funds and Cadma Capital Partners. According to Alex Singer, CEO and founder of Voldex, "This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for our company, and we are grateful that Wolfpaq, the creator of Brookhaven, has chosen to trust us with his exceptional game." Voldex has expressed its commitment to being responsible custodians of the unique world and vibrant community that Brookhaven has to offer. This acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic moves by Voldex, which has also acquired other notable games from Roblox, including Driving Empire, Zo Samurai, and Ultimate Football, the latter of which was purchased in April 2024 for a substantial multi-million dollar sum. The studio's diverse portfolio also features titles from Fortnite Creative and Minecraft.
