Elliot Page Acquires TV Rights for Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls

The rights to Quantic Dream's 2013 action-adventure game Beyond: Two Souls have been acquired by Elliot Page's production company, Pageboy Productions, paving the way for a television adaptation. Page, who starred in the game, expressed enthusiasm for the project, citing the story's rich narrative and emotional depth as a solid foundation for a unique vision of the characters and their journeys. The game follows Jodie, a girl with psychic abilities, and her supernatural companion Aiden, as they become embroiled in a world of government secrets. Although the show is still in its early development stages, there is no word yet on whether Willem Dafoe, Page's co-star in the game, will reprise his role. Quantic Dream's writer and director, David Cage, expressed his excitement about collaborating with Page again, praising his acting performance in the game and believing he is the ideal person to bring this story to life on television. Beyond: Two Souls, which originally launched as a PlayStation exclusive in 2013 and was later ported to PC in 2015, has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. Pageboy Productions is currently developing several other projects, including a sci-fi movie based on Eliot Schrefer's novel and a TV mini-series about a murder linked to The Jenny Jones Show. According to Matt Jordan Smith, Head of Development and Production at Pageboy, the adaptation will honor the game's legacy while offering fresh perspectives, exploring themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions on lives.
