PS5 Games Take Center Stage on PlayStation Plus
As of January 2026, PlayStation Plus will prioritize PlayStation 5 games. According to a recent blog post revealing the monthly games for February, the company stated that PS4 games will no longer be a mainstay of PS Plus and will only be included sporadically in the monthly games and catalog services. The reasoning behind this shift is that many players have transitioned to the PS5 and are now accessing PS5 titles through these services, prompting PS Plus to adapt to this trend. Although the focus is on PS5, some titles that are compatible with both PS4 and PS5 may still be offered after the change. Players who have already redeemed PS4 monthly games will not be affected and can continue to access these titles as long as their PS Plus membership remains active. Regarding the game catalog, PS4 titles will remain available until they are removed as part of the regular monthly update of games.
