Astro Bot and Black Myth: Wukong Top the List of GDCA Nominees

The finalists for the 25th annual Game Developers Choice Awards have been announced, with Astro Bot and Black Myth: Wukong leading the pack with seven nominations each. Across nine categories, Team Asobi's platformer and Game Science's RPG have been nominated for Game of the Year, as well as Best Design, Best Technology, and Best Audio. Two indie hits, Animal Well and Balatro, have also received recognition, with five and four nominations respectively, including Game of the Year. The award ceremony will take place on March 19 during the GDC at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center, which runs from March 17 to March 21. Best Audio: Animal Well, Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. Best Debut: 1000xResist, Animal Well, Balatro, Pacific Drive, and Tiny Glade. Best Design: Animal Well, Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, and Lorelai and the Laser Eyes. Innovation Award: Animal Well, Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, and UFO 50. Best Narrative: 1000xResist, Black Myth: Wukong, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Mouthwashing. Social Impact Award: 1000xResist, Astro Bot, Frostpunk 2, Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, and Neva. Best Technology: Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Helldivers 2, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Tiny Glade. Best Visual Art: Animal Well, Astro Bot, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Neva.
