Moon Active Hit by Significant Job Cuts, Employees Take to LinkedIn

Moon Active is reported to have laid off at least 20 employees, with the majority coming from its Lithuania office, and additional staff in Poland, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Israel also being let go. The Lithuania team was previously part of Melsoft before being acquired by Moon Active in 2020. Although the company has not officially confirmed the layoffs, multiple former employees have updated their LinkedIn profiles to indicate they are looking for new opportunities, and a Glassdoor post mentions 'mass layoffs' in January 2025. This development comes after Moon Active raised $300 million in funding in November 2021. The recent wave of job cuts in the industry continues, with several companies announcing layoffs in January, including the closure of Freejam, Splash Damage, and Piranha Games, as well as significant job cuts at Ubisoft, Fast Travel Games, and Phoenix Labs.
