EA Origin Scheduled for Closure in April 2025

The EA Origin platform is set to shut down on April 17, 2025, following Microsoft's decision to end support for 32-bit software. As a result, Origin users will be required to download and install the EA app, which is available on EA's website and necessitates a 64-bit version of Windows. Upon logging in with their Origin account, games will automatically transfer to the EA app, along with cloud saves if enabled. However, users of titles without cloud save support will need to manually transfer their game data. For those upgrading their operating system, game redownloading will not be necessary, but a data transfer will be required for PC upgrades. Origin was initially launched in June 2011, with the EA App following in October 2022, marking the beginning of a gradual phase-out of the Origin platform.
