The developer has announced plans to internalize more services and collaborate with a new publisher to prevent similar disruptions in the future. Although in-app purchases remain unavailable in the US, the studio is working to restore the game's presence in app stores. Initially, on January 20, 2025, both Marvel Snap and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang were temporarily removed from the US market due to the TikTok ban. Second Dinner expressed surprise that Marvel Snap was affected, given its subsidiary relationship with ByteDance, TikTok's owner. The developer assured players that the game's absence was temporary and that they were working diligently to restore access. Global players were unaffected, and the studio committed to compensating players for lost time-based content and rewards. Meanwhile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, developed by Moonton, another ByteDance subsidiary, was also reported unavailable in the US. The TikTok ban, instituted by the US Supreme Court over security concerns, was briefly lifted after the company received assurances from the president-elect that service providers would not be penalized for reinstating the app.
