BioWare Loses Dragon Age: The Veilguard Game Director Corinne Busche
In a recent update, Corinne Busche has officially confirmed her exit from BioWare, stating that the decision was voluntary due to an offer she received from outside the company. 'I was presented with an opportunity that I simply couldn't turn down,' Busche revealed in an interview. 'Although I don't want to disclose too much at this point, I can assure you that it's related to the CRPG space and will maintain the tradition of creating exceptional characters.' Busche expressed her appreciation for her time at BioWare, particularly her work on Dragon Age. 'I was given the chance to return the game to its roots as a high-quality single-player RPG, which was an absolute privilege,' she said. 'It was a challenging journey, but as a team, we managed to achieve it. The experience took a toll on me, but I believe BioWare is now on the right path, despite still having work to do in terms of company culture.' Busche had been with EA for 18 years, starting as a designer in 2006 and progressing to senior design roles, including creative director and design director. She took on the role of game director for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in February 2022, working closely with creative director John Epler. The game, which launched last October, is the fourth installment in the Dragon Age series.
