Jar of Sparks Suspends Debut Game Development in Search of New Publisher

Development on Jar of Sparks' inaugural project has been put on hold as the Seattle-based studio searches for a new publisher. In a LinkedIn statement, CEO Jerry Hook announced that team members will be exploring new opportunities while the studio looks for a partner to bring its creative vision to life. Hook expressed pride in the team's innovative approach, stating that they took bold risks to create something new and exciting for the industry. As the project comes to a close, the studio will work to find new opportunities for its team members over the coming weeks. The studio was established in 2022 as an in-house developer for NetEase, led by Hook, who was joined by key industry figures. Prior to founding Jar of Sparks, Hook held notable roles at 343 Industries, Bungie, and Microsoft.
