Film Adaptations of Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 Unveiled

Sony has revealed plans to adapt Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 into movies. The announcement was made at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where it was disclosed that the Horizon Zero Dawn film will be a collaborative effort between PlayStation Productions and Columbia Pictures, as per a report by The Verge. This partnership follows their previous joint project, the 2022 film Uncharted, which starred Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Meanwhile, the film adaptation of Helldivers 2 will be produced by Sony Pictures, although no additional details have been disclosed. It's worth noting that Sony had previously announced a Netflix series based on the Horizon franchise in 2022, but it was reportedly cancelled last July due to allegations of misconduct by its showrunner, Steve Blackman, according to Rolling Stone. During the same presentation at CES, Sony also announced an anime series based on the multiplayer mode Legends of Ghost of Tsushima.
