According to StreamElements' State of the Stream 2024 report, which utilized data from Rainmaker.gg, the lack of growth may be attributed to creators shifting to other platforms or adopting multistreaming to expand their audience. The daily hours watched in Q4 have remained consistent throughout the year, with a notable dip in Q2. The top 9 games on Twitch have remained largely unchanged over the past five years, with Grand Theft Auto 5, League of Legends, and Valorant being the most popular. However, hours watched for certain games have fluctuated, with League of Legends experiencing a 34% decline in November and World of Warcraft seeing an 84% increase. KaiCenat has emerged as a dominant force, with 184 million hours watched, more than double the hours of the second-place streamer. The CEO of StreamElements, Or Perry, notes that platform diversification is driving the change in top streamers, and anticipates that 2025 will be a significant year for multistreaming as tools become more accessible.
