Australia Bans Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact Due to Content
The Australian Classification Review Board has prohibited the release of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact, citing "implied sexual violence" as the reason. According to Polygon, the decision was made due to a scene where "an adult male character exposes himself to minors," which led to the game being refused classification. Originally slated for release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, the game's launch has been pushed back to 2025. This incident follows an earlier controversy involving Sony, which apologized for allowing access to Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number in Australia despite its ban in 2015 over similar themes. Sony took steps to address the issue by refunding customers who purchased the game during the period it was improperly available.
