Former Disco Elysium Developers at Dark Math Games Receive Significant Funding

Dark Math Games has obtained additional funding for its inaugural project, XXX Nightshift. Although the exact amount raised cannot be disclosed, the studio confirms it is a substantial seven-figure investment. This financial support comes from MM Grupp, a prominent Estonia-based investor with a diverse portfolio of 132 companies spanning media, entertainment, healthcare, and other sectors. Notably, MM Grupp was a major investor in ZA/UM, the acclaimed developer of Disco Elysium. Dark Math Games was established earlier this year by a team of former ZA/UM employees, including Kaur Kender, the executive producer of Disco Elysium. The studio describes XXX Nightshift as a 'true detective RPG', which has been viewed by many as a potential spiritual successor to Disco Elysium. Kaur Kender expressed his enthusiasm, stating, 'We are delighted to have an experienced investor on board who not only understands but also appreciates art and the video game industry. The backing from MM Grupp will bring stability and a long-term vision to our project.
