Ryosuke Yoshida Departs Ouka Studios to Pursue Opportunity with Square Enix

Ryosuke Yoshida, formerly at the helm of Ouka Studios, has revealed his decision to leave the NetEase-owned game development studio in favor of a new role at Square Enix. Yoshida took to social media to share the news, confirming his departure from Ouka Studios on October 31 and his subsequent start at Square Enix in December, although the specifics of his new position remain unclear. Notably, Yoshida co-directed the title Visions of Mana, which was released in August and published by Square Enix. Earlier reports suggested that Ouka Studios, established in 2020, was set to be dissolved by NetEase. Prior to his tenure at Ouka, Yoshida spent over a decade at Capcom. Reflecting on his departure, Yoshida expressed gratitude to the development team and NetEase for their support, describing his experience as 'very good' and acknowledging the studio's achievement in releasing Visions of Mana despite being relatively new.
