Lilith Games, Developer of AFK Arena, Reduces Workforce by 40

Lilith Games, a Chinese game development studio, has undergone significant restructuring, resulting in the loss of approximately 40 jobs out of its 100-strong workforce. This move follows a disappointing beta test for its life simulation game, Project Party, which took place earlier in the year. Reports from Youxi Chaguan and GameLook, as noted by PocketGamer, suggest that the game's producer may also have been removed from the project. Although Project Party has not been officially canceled, it is expected to undergo significant revisions with the remaining 60 staff members. Founded in Shanghai, China in 2013, Lilith Games initially released Soul Hunters in 2014 and later expanded its operations to include publishing and game development in 2016. The company also launched its publishing brand, Farlight Games, in 2022.
