My.Games Offloads Hyper-Casual Game Publisher Mamboo

My.Games has announced the sale of Mamboo, its hyper-casual game publishing arm. The decision is reportedly in line with the company's primary focus on mid-core gaming, which it believes will drive innovation and growth. My.Games stated that its experience with Mamboo was valuable, but the differing business focuses led to a strategic decision to part ways. The company expressed its belief in Mamboo's potential for growth and success in its niche, wishing the team well in its future endeavors. According to My.Games CEO Elena Grigorian, the company remains dedicated to developing mid-core games that attract large audiences, lead their genres, and foster long-term player engagement. Mamboo Entertainment was founded in Abu Dhabi in 2020 and acquired by My.Games in 2021. This sale follows My.Games' July announcement to divest its non-game development and publishing businesses, including DonationAlerts and Boosty.
