Olivier Courtemanche to Lead PlayStation's Mobile Division

Sony Interactive Entertainment has made key appointments, naming Olivier Courtemanche as the head of its mobile segment and Justin Kubiak as the head of mobile business development and partnerships. The announcements were made public via LinkedIn. Courtemanche, who previously shared the role of co-head of mobile with Kris Davis, joined Sony in 2022, bringing experience from Meta, Zynga, Walt Disney, and EA. Kubiak, who was previously responsible for licensing and developer partnerships for mobile at PlayStation, joined the company in 2021 from Samsung, where he headed games partnerships. His background also includes roles at NCSoft, Scopely, and Disney Interactive. This development comes on the heels of Sony shutting down Neon Koi, its first-party mobile game developer, which was acquired in 2022 and originally founded by veterans from Rockstar, Wargaming, and Rovio under the name Savage Game Studios before rebranding in late 2023.
