Nexon's Q3 Revenue Sees Uptick, Thanks to Dungeon & Fighter Mobile

Nexon has unveiled its Q3 financial report, highlighting a year-on-year increase in revenue, albeit with a decrease in net income. Key figures for the quarter ending September 30, 2024, include: revenues of ¥135.6 billion ($874 million), representing a 12.7% year-on-year increase, and net income of ¥27 billion ($174 million), marking a 23% year-on-year decline. Nexon attributes the revenue growth to the success of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile and The First Descendant, which offset declines from other titles such as Dungeon & Fighter PC, MapleStory, and Wars of Prasia. The launch of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China last May significantly contributed to the franchise's 142% year-on-year growth. In terms of revenue distribution, PC games accounted for ¥70 billion ($452 million), a decrease of 18% year-on-year, while mobile games generated ¥64 billion ($413 million), experiencing an impressive 89% increase. According to CEO Junghun Lee, 'The third quarter has reaffirmed our commitment to Nexon's growth strategy, which involves investing in our long-term vision to drive substantial growth in revenue and operating income by enhancing existing franchises and expanding our IP portfolio.'
