Amazon Confirms Development of Mass Effect Television Series

Amazon has given the green light to a television series based on the popular Mass Effect franchise created by BioWare. Daniel Casey, known for his work on Fast and Furious 9, will serve as the writer and executive producer for the series, which is a production of Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Cedar Tree Productions, where Karim Zreik will also be producing. The executive production team includes Ari Arad and Michael Gamble from EA. According to Variety, the precise plot of the series is being kept secret for the time being. Following the restart of Amazon's adaptation of God of War after the departure of its showrunner, Ronald D. Moore has joined the Mass Effect series as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Moore has a notable background in science fiction, having worked on series such as Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and For All Mankind.
