Studio Thunderhorse Ceases Operations

California-based indie game developer Studio Thunderhorse has revealed that it will be closing its doors. In a statement posted on social media, the studio cited a multitude of challenges and hurdles in the development process as the primary reason for its closure. After over a decade of creating games and being an integral part of the gaming community, the studio was forced to make the tough decision to cease operations. Despite concerted efforts over recent months, the studio encountered significant challenges that made it clear that closing down was the best choice for the long-term well-being of the team. The studio expressed its gratitude for the opportunity to connect with its community, making the decision even more difficult. Founded in 2015 by Simon Filip, Studio Thunderhorse released two mobile games in its inaugural year and went on to publish its first major title, Flynn: Son of Crimson, in 2021. At the time of its closure, the studio was working on its upcoming game, Ronin Rush.
