Inflexion Games' UK Branch Faces Closure
According to recent reports, the UK division of Inflexion Games is set to shut down. Audio Director Jon Newman shared the news on LinkedIn, stating that the closure of the UK subsidiary has resulted in the elimination of roles within the audio team and other positions in the UK. This was further confirmed by Principal Audio Designer Rebecca Parnell and Senior Audio Designer Tom Avis. Although Inflexion has not officially announced the layoffs, the number of affected developers remains uncertain. Newman expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues, reflecting on the past four years spent working on Nightingale, the studio's fantasy open-world survival crafting game. He noted that the team had worked diligently, pouring their hearts into creating something unique. This news comes on the heels of Surgent Studios' decision to put its entire games division on hold due to funding issues, which has put an unspecified number of employees at risk of being laid off.
