Former Supercell Developers Launch New Gaming Studio Antihero

A team of ex-Supercell developers has founded Antihero Studios, leveraging their expertise in developing multiplayer games. The studio's founding members include CEO Brice Laville Saint-Martin, formerly Supercell's creative director, chief product officer Frank Yan, previously a senior game designer at Brawl Stars, and CTO Andre Parodi, who held the position of technical director at King. The team also includes game designer Hadrian Semroud, who has worked with Scopely and Ubisoft, and Gonzalo Martinez, a former developer at Socialpoint. According to Laville Saint-Martin's LinkedIn post, Antihero Studios is preparing for its seed funding round, having already secured support from Sisu Game Ventures and the Finnish government. The studio operates primarily from Finland, with an additional office in Barcelona. Antihero Studios aims to create 'games worth sharing,' focusing on multiplayer experiences that grow organically. Laville Saint-Martin expressed his disappointment with how some companies responded to Apple's IDFA changes, emphasizing his desire to build games that inspire both developers and players. He believes that companies relying heavily on performance marketing will struggle to build sustainable businesses. Instead, Antihero Studios strives to craft memorable gaming experiences that resonate with the values of modern gamers.
