Don't Nod Faces Uncertain Future with Restructuring Plans
Don't Nod has initiated a restructuring process that may affect up to 69 positions. The French game studio acknowledged the potential impact on its employees in its latest financial report, emphasizing that securing the company's resources and restoring its competitiveness is crucial in an increasingly competitive industry. The reorganization aims to streamline production lines, bolster the editorial committee, enhance organizational agility, align technologies for greater efficiency, and secure financing. Despite solid ratings for its latest release, the company's half-year results for 2024 reflect economic underperformance. Don't Nod's chair and CEO, Oskar Guilbert, stated that initial performance support measures are no longer sufficient to maintain competitiveness, prompting the need for a reorganization project. The company is committed to dialogue with employee representatives to reach agreements on social measures, including a potential voluntary redundancy plan. Don't Nod will continue developing its projects, including Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and unannounced projects P10 and P14, slated for release before the end of 2027.
