Humble Games Collaborates with Good Games Group Following Restructuring

Following a significant restructuring effort that resulted in the layoffs of its entire staff, Humble Games has enlisted the support of a third-party partner to aid in its operational endeavors. The company has announced a new collaboration with Good Games Group, an independent publishing entity founded by former Humble Games executives Alan Patmore and Mark Nash. This partnership aims to provide additional support for titles previously released by Humble Games. This development is supplementary to the company's existing partnership with The Powell Group, which assumed responsibility for publishing operations in the aftermath of the staff layoffs. In July, initial reports indicated that Humble Games was ceasing operations after former employees claimed that all 36 staff members had been let go. However, the company subsequently clarified that it was undergoing a restructuring process, rather than shutting down, and assured that upcoming releases would not be impacted. The restructuring has also had repercussions outside of the company, with developer Squid Shock stating that it lost access to critical systems without prior warning after Humble Games published its title Bõ: Path of the Teal Lotus in July.
