Majority of Gamers Opt for Solo Gaming Experience

Recent findings indicate that more than half of the gaming community favors single-player games over other modes. Data from Midia Research shows that this preference is consistent across various platforms, with mobile gamers exhibiting a slightly higher inclination towards solo play, at 58%. The survey, which compiled data from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Poland, Turkey, and South Africa across two quarters, highlights a notable trend where 74% of gamers aged 55 and above prefer playing single-player titles. In contrast, the 20-24 age group shows a stronger leaning towards player-versus-player (PVP) games, with 43% of respondents in this demographic expressing a preference for competitive play. Additionally, the survey discovered that access to free demos motivates nearly a third of gamers to engage in solo play.
