RIVRS Secures €4m in Funding to Streamline User-Generated Content Creation

French publishing company RIVRS has successfully raised €4m in funding to enhance and scale its user-generated content (UGC) offerings. The firm boasts a unique strength in designing games that can be seamlessly integrated across multiple platforms, including popular titles such as Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite, with the ultimate goal of emerging as a global leader in UGC video game development. This seed financing round, spearheaded by Pléiade Venture, will empower RIVRS to solidify its position in the European market and embark on international expansion, focusing on enriching its game catalog and exploring new platforms. The investment is also expected to augment the company's development capabilities, enabling it to expand its reach into additional platforms. Founded in 2021 by Romain Hubert and Loïc Deffains in Rennes, France, RIVRS has already made significant strides, having developed ten games and achieving revenue of nearly €500K from a single title. According to Hubert, "Our ability to create high-quality games quickly, combined with our robust business model, positions us favorably to capture a substantial share of the global UGC video game market." He further added, "This funding milestone marks a crucial step in our journey, bringing us closer to realizing our ambition of becoming the world's leading UGC video game developer in the years to come."
