Epic Games Achieves Financial Stability

Epic Games CEO, Tim Sweeney, recently announced that the company has attained financial stability during his presentation at Unreal Fest 2024. Reflecting on the company's situation in 2023, Sweeney mentioned that Epic had to restructure its finances, resulting in staff reductions of approximately 830 employees last September. He stated, "Over the past year, we have focused on rebuilding and consistently delivering strong results across all areas of the business." Sweeney expressed his satisfaction with the company's current financial health, highlighting that Fortnite and the Epic Games Store have achieved record-breaking concurrency and success. Additionally, Fortnite reached a new peak during the holiday season with 110 million active monthly users. The Epic Games Store also reported 70 million monthly active users, according to General Manager Steve Allison. In other news, Epic Games has filed a new lawsuit against Google and Samsung, alleging that Samsung's Auto Blocker feature unfairly favors the Google Play Store. This move comes after Epic's victory in an antitrust case against Google last December, in which the court ruled that the partnership between Google and Samsung was anti-competitive.
