Epic Games Enhances Parental Controls for Fortnite and UEFN with Time Monitoring and Limitation Features

Epic Games has unveiled two innovative parental control features designed to help parents effectively manage their child's gaming time on Fortnite and UEFN: time limit settings and detailed time reports. As stated by Epic, the time reports provide parents with a comprehensive daily breakdown of the time their child spends playing Fortnite and UEFN, accessible via a dedicated dashboard. The time limit feature allows parents to set a daily playtime cap, specify the time windows during which their child can play, and even set additional time limits within those windows. Parents can also choose whether to allow their child to request extra playtime. Epic Games explained that when a time limit is set, the child will receive in-game notifications when they have 30 minutes of playtime left in Fortnite and UEFN. Once the time limit is reached, the child will be unable to access Fortnite or UEFN until the next day or the start of a new time window, unless the parent grants an extension. These time limit controls are universally applied across all devices linked to the same account, ensuring consistent parental oversight.
