Former Crunchyroll Employees Introduce Shorelines Games, a New Independent Publishing Label

Shoreline Games, a freshly established independent game publisher, has officially launched and revealed its lineup for early 2025. Founded by US-based co-founders Keith Kawamura and Jenny Zha, the company aims to make a mark in the gaming industry. Kawamura, who serves as CEO, has a background in managing art products at Too Corporation Americas and has previously worked with notable companies such as Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Perfect World, and Crunchyroll. Zha, the COO, has experience as the CEO of marketing agency Infinitize and has held roles at Rakuten Viki, Melwood Global, and Crunchyroll. Shorelines Games is set to publish several titles, including Nova Hearts, a turn-based strategy game by Lightbulb Crew, in Q1 2025, followed by Sanatorium - A Mental Asylum Simulator by Zeitglas in Q2 2025, and Onirism from Crimson Tales in late Q2 or early Q3. Kawamura stated, "Our objective is to identify games with engaging systems and clear narrative paths, and provide them with the necessary visibility to stand out in a crowded market with over 17,000 annual releases. I'm passionate about storytelling, and I want Shoreline Games to be an extension of that, offering a clear path to enjoyment for gamers." Zha added, "From our experience, we've learned how to foster communities and fandoms. We see a reflection of our identity in the games we play, and we want to highlight that for each game and community we work with."
