EA to Discontinue The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Electronic Arts has revealed that it will be discontinuing The Simpsons: Tapped Out. The news was announced via a Facebook post, stating that in-app purchases are no longer available and the game will be delisted from app stores on October 31, 2024. Players who have already downloaded the game can continue playing until January 24, 2025. EA expressed its gratitude to players and partners, including The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company, for their support over the game's twelve-year run. The Simpsons: Tapped Out was initially released on iOS in 2012 and later on Android in 2013. By 2014, the game had generated over $130 million in digital net revenue, as reported by IGN.
