According to Newzoo's analysis of six key markets in August 2024, Black Myth Wukong emerged as the highest-grossing game. The title also secured the top spot on the PC charts and ranked third on PlayStation, surpassed only by Fortnite and EA Sports Madden NFL 25. In contrast, The First Descendant witnessed a notable decline in revenue from June to August. Meanwhile, Fall Guys, Diablo 4, and World of Warcraft saw substantial increases in monthly active users, with 14, 16, and 20 percent gains, respectively. Escape from Tarkov jumped nine places due to its most significant monthly active user growth this year. Additionally, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga received a considerable boost in engagement following its inclusion in PlayStation Plus and a 75 percent discount on the Nintendo Switch Store. The top Switch games remained relatively unchanged in August 2024. Newzoo's rankings of the top 20 games by revenue and monthly active users across the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy are available for PC and console platforms.
