Revealing the Top UK Workplaces in the Gaming Industry for 2024
The eighth annual GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards ceremony took place in London at the Royal Institution, as part of the HR Summit. A total of 26 gaming companies were recognized for their outstanding support of their employees, based on a dual survey system where employers accounted for 20% of the score and employees accounted for 80%. The winning companies were categorized into large, medium, and small enterprises. In addition to the Best Places awards, six special awards were presented to highlight exceptional work in areas such as environmental sustainability, charity support, workforce health, diversity promotion, and education partnerships. The UK games industry's HR Hero award, which replaces the previous 'Best Boss' award, was awarded to Ilona Popczyk, Green Man Gaming's human resources director and data protection officer. The G Into Gaming Award was also presented to Harinder Sangha of Maverick Games for championing women in the industry. The UK Best Places To Work project is sponsored by Amiqus, Games London, Lighthouse Games, and Playground Games. For more information on the judging process, please visit the official website.
