Drama Studios Secures $2.5 Million in Seed Funding to Boost Development
Drama Studios, a French game development company, has revealed a significant $2.5 million seed series investment round, with the primary goal of augmenting its core development team and driving its game, Unrecord, towards a polished demo stage. The studio's Unrecord gameplay trailer, which boasts hyper-realistic graphics, garnered substantial attention last year, accumulating over 11 million views on IGN and a staggering 80 million views on X/Twitter, subsequently becoming one of the most highly anticipated games on Steam. This considerable interest caught the attention of prominent publishers worldwide; however, Drama Studios has chosen to collaborate with The Games Fund, a venture capital firm, due to its deep understanding of the gaming industry and shared values. Ilia Eremeev, co-founder and managing partner of The Games Fund, expressed his admiration for the gameplay video, stating, 'We were impressed not only by the visuals but also by the exceptional gameplay experience.' Upon reaching a solid demo phase, the studio intends to explore publishing opportunities and strategic partnerships.
