Dutch Game Garden to Cease Operations in 2025

The Dutch Game Garden will be discontinuing its services as of January 2025, citing changes in funding opportunities and priorities. According to the team, these changes render it impossible to maintain a balanced budget, making it necessary to discontinue operations in a responsible manner. Over the course of its 17-year tenure, the organisation has provided incubation support to over 130 developers and housed more than 150 companies within its cluster. The group's upcoming events, including network lunches, will proceed as scheduled before winding down by year's end. Chairman Peter Laanen expressed sadness over the decision, stating, "We are proud of our accomplishments and the impact we have had on the Dutch gaming industry, but unfortunately, we are now forced to close our doors, reflecting on our achievements with satisfaction."
