Sony Removes Concord from Sale Effective Immediately

Sony has announced the immediate removal of the hero shooter game Concord from sale, with servers scheduled to go offline on September 6. Despite its recent release on August 23, Firewalk Studios' game director Ryan Ellis stated that the game will be taken offline to determine the best course of action moving forward. In a statement on the PlayStation Blog, Ellis expressed gratitude to players and the game's community for their support, acknowledging that while some aspects of the game resonated with players, others did not meet expectations. As a result, Concord sales have ceased, and full refunds will be offered to all players who purchased the game for PS5 or PC. Once refunds are processed, players will no longer be able to access the game. This decision comes as the latest development in Sony's live service endeavors, with the company aiming to reevaluate and potentially revamp its approach to better serve its player base.
