Capcom Veteran Hideaki Itsuno Departs After 30 Years

Veteran game director Hideaki Itsuno has revealed his departure from Capcom, marking the end of a three-decade tenure at the renowned gaming company. Itsuno shared the news via social media, expressing his gratitude for the support he has received over the years and announcing his intention to develop a new game in a fresh environment. "I appreciate the long-standing support for the games and characters I've been involved with," Itsuno stated. "I hope you will continue to support Capcom's games and characters in the future." Starting in September, Itsuno will embark on a new project, aiming to create engaging and memorable games that surpass his previous works. Itsuno's journey at Capcom began in 1994 when he joined the company's arcade division, which later became Production Studio 1. He initially worked on Star Gladiator before going on to direct notable franchises such as Devil May Cry and Dragon's Dogma. His final project with Capcom was Dragon's Dogma 2, which was released recently.
