Bandai Namco Abandons Blue Protocol Launch in Western Markets
Bandai Namco has revealed plans to discontinue Japanese server operations for Blue Protocol by January 2025 and has canceled its planned release in Western territories. According to a post on the game's official website, the collaboration with Amazon Games to publish the title in the Americas and Europe has been terminated. In a statement, Bandai Namco conveyed its regret, stating that despite diligent efforts, the company has reached the conclusion that delivering a satisfactory experience for all users is unfeasible. Japanese servers are set to go offline on January 18, 2025, roughly a year and a half after the game's initial launch in the region. Bandai Namco expressed that it has valued its partnership with Amazon Games throughout Blue Protocol's development, with both parties sharing disappointment over their inability to bring the game to a global audience.
